Are you sure that's the trouble? Those were not originally part of the gen and are only added to correct specific issues.

It’s been flashing overspeed code and interminably. We checked the RPMs (3600-3650) and Voltage (60 Hz). We cleaned the brushes and slip rings and read resistance between wires 0 and 4 (32 Ohms). None fixed it. Then came to the conclusion it needed a fuel boost kit.
Thanks for your help.

That resistance is still pretty high. That unit should have around 19-22 ohms if everything is normal. You can prove that it needs a field boost kit by quickly applying 12V to the #4 wire at the voltage regulator (which is the positive brush wire) with the unit running. If the unit then produces voltage normally and continues to run, a field boost kit will likely fix the issue.

Got a chance to put 12 volts to wire 4 which goes to the brush. It put out 248 volts. Can you let me know where I can purchase the schematic to install the field boost kit?
