The engine spits and sputters appears to be losing spark, wont start. The Valve adjustments and sensor's all checked okay. Thought was made that there is a weak spark, (bad coil). This is an okay thought but. I started it and it ran fine, and it ran for 5 minutes with no problem. Then after retrying it again it spit and sputtered and wouldn't start. The unit is approximately 12 years old. First time post. Tim J. Ohio

Hi Tim,

I need a little more information about what we're actually talking about here. What size gen, model or serial number so I know what engine we're talking about.
