I have a 12kw guardian that was hit by lightening. Replaced the transfer and controller, then the lp solanoid. Still wont start and no spark to the plug. I think the coil is next. Advice?

The ignition coils almost always get wiped out during a strike. There is a replacement kit available here: https://shop.gentekpower.com/products/g ... generators

Comes with both coils and a new ground wire (do NOT use the old wire)

I don't have a video available for the coil swap repair, but you won't need to remove the entire enclosure by any means. The right side and rear panel are 1 piece on that unit and no fun at all to remove!

Hello again. Well, after a dozen hours of hand scraping contortionist labor and having imported and installed the coils and ground wire, I have it all back together. I had a controller screen during all this process. The last thing I did was connect the battery and plug in the 7.5 fuse. Now I have no screen. Checked polarity and its good. Remember I could crank and no-start on manual previously. There is one empty socket on the back of the controller. I cannot remember if it had a plug or not but could not find one dangling in the mess. Could you give ne some tips from here on out? Thanks. John

You'll need a decent socket set, feeler gauges to set the coil gap, some other basic hand tools, allen wrenches, but that's about it.
