I have a Generac 7 Kw
Green light on
Low oil pressure light on
Low battery light on
Pulled dip stick and noticed bright yellow muck

Where do I start?
Battery is somewhat new so I was surprised at battery warning.
Maybe it is the self charging not working.
The yellow muck may indicate an engine gasket problem and the low pressure is telling me my engine is not functioning.
It is only 8 years old, I hate to think I have to buy a new one.

Any comments?

Well, you have to start somewhere, so the easiest thing would be to test battery voltage with a meter and see what it really is. Voltage should be around 13-13.5VDC.
The charger in that unit is easy to replace if it's bad. The charger can be found here: https://shop.gentekpower.com/products/g ... a1801-more

The 'muck' is probably condensation mixed with oil and is actually fairly common.

The low oil pressure alarm could be a couple of things...

Could really be low on oil.
Could also be a bad oil pressure sender. They used an older style 1 wire sender and I've seen a few fail. They were replaced by a 2 wire sender kit. Also easy to change. Kit can be found here: https://shop.gentekpower.com/products/g ... e-switches

Worse case scenario is a bad engine oil pump which is not very common. If that's the case, it's probably time for a swap out...
