I also included a side pic of my install, not that it's a model or anything. It's closer to the house than yours, 18"?, but then the gas pipe and electrical feed can hang in the air easier. The regulator is mounted on the house, far away (maybe too far, lol), but regulator vent isn't a factor, and, so no hose required.
I'm 20 miles east of Albany and Ambrose Electric installed it. I haven't had any problems, knock on wood, but I have confidence in them.
