If he doesn't know how to adjust an AVR, you need a new tech!!

Chris----

Im working on taking your advise and try to learn as much as possible myself.

When i mentioned to him that i thought it was putting out too much power and we might need to tune the AVR, he said oh yeah, i will adjust the mechanical gov. -- So, not sure if that is correct or not.

However, other problems arose that I have to work thru first before i can get it to start.

I greatly appreciate everyones help and comments on this forum.

Turning down the speed IS NOT the answer!

All you will do is decrease frequency (Hz) and with it, voltage will fall. Hz must be left alone.
