Transfer switch wont transfer when utility is power is lost.

Ya, sounds like its the controller. Is unit still under warranty?

If its under warranty, a certified dealer is covered under warranty for parts, labor and an hour of travel time. The ONLY part that gets sticky is on controllers. The dealer has to mail it back into generac and they check it and have to certify thats it a defective unit, only then will they pay contractor. Some dealers charge customer entire cost UNTIL generac confirms its the issue, that they reimburse owner for part,labor and travel time
For me, ive never had generac turn a returned controller down, as i fully test all other possibilities before condemning the controller.
And NO, they wont let a consumer install a warranty part. All warranty parts are only covered thru certified service tech company.
