Utility Coil

I have a Generac automatic transfer switch model RXSW200A3 and every time a phase is lost from the utility source the utility coil burns. Have anyone else experience this and what is the solution.

It sounds more like a brown out than a total phase loss. If the phase were totally gone, there would be no power there to actually turn the coil on.

Ya, once the switch is set to utility power, the limit switch is opened. So even if one side is dropped, there would not be any power going to coil.

This has to be a brown out happening during power restoration . Add a brown out kit.
