Re: Generac SG035 Propane to NG convert

Normally if they are field convertible, the jet will be screwed into the side of the regulator, or it may have a 2nd fuel port that's capped with a plug with the correct jet underneath. Unfortunately, I cannot lookup Industrial Generac parts with my access. They limit it to the Industrial dealers on...

Re: Old 15kw with brigs transfer switch

Not on this unit. N1 and N2 power the sensing and the charger (provided it's all there and working). The generator will start when power is available and shutdown when power returns. The timers in the switch would be the only hangup I'd think. If they are longer than the Generac timer in the control...

Re: 7 KW generac generator

I've heard of this before on the CorePower controllers and it's almost always a faulty controller's membrane button for the set exercise. Ants or moisture can get into the controller and ruin it...

If you have the serial number I can confirm the correct controller for you.

Measure the output voltage when the unit starts and see what it is.

Re: 20kw standby generator

Sounds to me like a bad voltage regulator or something to do with the sensing input into the regulator.

Re: Old 15kw with brigs transfer switch

That Briggs switch does its own transferring and doesn't rely on the generator's PCB. I'm thinking just N1 and N2 would be all you need to connect.

I would check and adjust the valves before digging too far into this.

Re: Controller distinction

The problem is that windows are usually a bit leaky, even closed. If you have any kind of negative draft into the house, it'll still draw in outside air. I would only consider placing a unit near a window if it were a sealed window from the factory (like glass block). You would assume a huge risk sh...

Re: correct wiring for battery charger on G0055060 generator

I'm fine with either of those, provided there is some mechanical interlock between the gen and the utility. Sometimes when I hear 'no transfer switch' I think back-feeding through a breaker in the panel... :sacred:
